Our community is threatened by a large wind development. The Conestogo Wind Energy Project will see twenty six 2.85 MW industrial wind turbines (IWT) built, of which three will be right across the road from us. Our government has allowed Invenergy, a foreign company based in Chicago, to gain a foot hold in North Perth and East Perth. This company is operating within government policy and our municipal government appears powerless.

We need to change the policies.

This project will destroy a vibrant intensively farmed agricultural area with The IWT setback of 550 metres is not far enough to ensure no complicating factors in livestock and human health as well as the loss of valuable farm land for 20 plus years due to iron clad leases contracts.

We need to act now. We strongly encourage you share your concerns about the Invenergy Conestogo Wind Energy Project with your MP.  Please visit our Wind Page for more information and letter templates.
