WOW what a winter. We have never had such consecutive cold in our entire dairy career. The cows preformed amazingly well even with freezing temperatures of -14 in the barn and icy alleys. Thank goodness for a few hours of above freezing most days. Many days of road closures and blizzard conditions will be remembered. Special thank you for Chapmanā€™s transport for picking up our milk through challenging road conditions. Luckily we had some room in the cooler for an extra day or so.

The classifier visited last week. Legacy Goldwyn Valentine and Malibu Goldwyn Terryaki got another Ex91. Legacy Denzel Shooting Star, Legacy Shottle Gwenenna and Legacy Knowledge Christine moved up to VG. Legacy Lauthority Golden was VG as a 2 yr old. The Glace family continues to produce and score well.

Wishing everyone a safe rest of the winter and looking forward to spring at Legacy.

Wild turkey grazing from the bird feeder. They need food amid all this snow.
